The role

The Shaw Digital Strategy & Analytics Team located in Calgary AB / Vancouver BC / Toronto ON is currently seeking a Digital Analyst to join their team.

The Digital Analyst will be responsible for helping provide analytical insights to drive improved performance in our digital channels as well as working within technical platforms bring digital experiences to life. In addition, this individual will work with the broader team as a data and analytics evangelist, encouraging and teaching others to use our analytics platforms to drive business decisions. He or she will work in collaboration with third party vendors and our Digital Experience and Technology Teams to drive our digital initiatives forward. To be successful within this role, a Digital Analyst needs to be hardworking, eager to learn, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable with the demands of tight timelines, changing priorities, and an ever-evolving digital landscape.

A typical day

• Translate complex data into simple visualizations and high-level, actionable insights to guide digital strategy for Digital Marketing and Digital Experience & Technology teams
• Partner with third party vendors and internal stakeholders in an agile way to bring digital experiences to life through implementation in our Marketing Cloud stack of technology
• Define requirements for implementation of Use Cases and digital analytics across technology platforms and digital properties
• Support maintaining the integrity of our digital data and experiences through owning QA for implementation and analytics
• Act as a data and analytics evangelist, encouraging and teaching other stakeholders to use our analytics platforms to drive business decisions
• Proactive identify opportunities to improve reporting or tool implementation
• Other duties as required

Your skills/experience

• Hands-on experience in Adobe Analytics or comparable digital analytics platforms
• Expertise in data-visualization and reporting
• Experience in Audience Management tasks using Tealium Audience Stream or Adobe Audience Manager
• Exposure to on-site A/B testing or personalization
• Knowledge of digital implementation across media platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, ExactTarget etc.) is an asset
• Familiarity in utilizing advanced data analysis tools (Alteryx, Snowflake, etc.) is an asset
• Understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
• Degree / diploma in business, mathematics, computer science or other related combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a digital strategy or analytical role (general analytics/reporting, digital product ownership, analytics implementation, etc.)
• Self-starting, eager to learn, collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable with the demands of tight timelines, changing priorities, and an ever-evolving digital landscape
• Strong analytical thinker with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects with minimal direction
• Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and look for innovative new ways of doing things
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
