The role

The successful candidate will be focused on evaluating the effectiveness of technology processes and controls, working with various business units with a focus on general IT and security controls.
This position will appeal to an individual seeking a fast-paced, risk focused, team environment that offers breadth of experience, connections to the entire organization, and an opportunity to make a difference.

A typical day

Working with other team members within Internal Audit and Advisory Services, Internal Controls, and Security & Compliance, this position spans:

• Executing on components of the risk-based annual audit plan, including technology and security audits
• Evaluating processes and controls with focus on cybersecurity and IT general controls
• Working with finance, IT and other business leaders to assess control effectiveness and to identify process efficiencies and improvements
• Identifying control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, and developing and communicating pragmatic recommendations
• Carrying out research and providing advice to management on new policies and implementation of new systems, and other ad hoc projects
• Preparing and documenting audit and advisory files

Your skills/experience

• Bachelor's Degree/Certificate in Information Systems, Computer Science, Network Security or other relevant degree
• 3+ years of experience in IT audit, planning, and risk assessment
• Experience performing SOX 404 IT control/assessment work is an asset
• Certificates, such as CISA, CCSP, OSCP, or CISSP is an asset
• Experience with Cloud security is an asset
• Knowledge of CobiT, ITIL, Cyber Security frameworks and Cloud Control Matrix considered an asset
• Experience using data analytics to assist with the delivery of assessments is an asset
• Excellent analytical skills and creative approach to problem solving
• Excellent communication skills, including presentation and written communications
• A proven team player including ability to interact and work with people with a variety of backgrounds and at different levels within the organization
