The role

As a Business Analyst, you will report to our Principal Identity and Access Management and will be responsible for being a key contact between various business and technical stakeholders, Accounting for coordinating high-level strategy, scope and dependency analysis, ensuring quality products are delivered to our business. You will also play a key role in identity and access management demand intake, governance, and team efficiency.

A typical day

• Coordinating the development of Identity and access strategies for the enterprise for both individual client intake and the project level integrations.
• Advocating identity and access governance, ensure clarity and alignment of scope with all stakeholders at all levels through the implementation of effective communication and feedback mechanisms (written and verbal)
• Eliciting clear business goals, values and evaluating scope considering desired outcomes; Active management of scope and requirement updates to balance changing business needs with delivery capabilities.
• Facilitate and assist our business and project teams in prioritizing scope and estimating sizing via collaboration with technical resources and subject matter experts.
• Apply analytics and data behind priority rationale and obtain alignments from all affected stakeholder groups
• Ensure effective management of workload by offloading from and to peers as necessary to adjust to the peaks and valleys of delivery.
• Provide focus and leadership to intake-to-delivery streams to effectively support execution and implementation of requirements.
• Drive consensus to ensure the successful and timely resolution of scope related issues (such as ambiguity and roadblocks) to enable progress with minimal hindrance to delivery.
• Support effective prioritization and scheduling of scope
• Facilitate appropriate resource allocation towards successful execution of scope
• Foster a spirit of creative collaboration by giving team members and business stakeholders a common focus
o Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered to meet business requirements
o Build and maintain relationships with the all project business stakeholders and partners
o Provide leadership in projects as necessary to ensure project success

Your skills/experience

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent IT related designation
• Accredited Business Analysis certification is an asset
• Minimum of 7 years working experience in information technology
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in business analysis with hands-on experience with:
o infrastructure, lifecycle management and/or private cloud related projects
o Experience with IAM or Access management is an asset
o Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies
o Understanding of standard business process mapping notation and tools
o LEAN Six Sigma Certification or experience in applying LEAN in processes, projects or programs is an asset
• Proven ability to:
o Understand both general and specific business needs
o Incorporate evolving industry best practices
o Quickly learn new business and technical concepts
o Handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure to meet specific deadline
• Experience in an Agile software development environment or Scrum framework is an asset
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills at various levels of the organization
• Understanding of business processes and rules that dictate the success of an organization
• Strong process flow mapping skills
• Managing and prioritizing program scope
• Conducting and facilitating business requirements gathering sessions
• Presenting to various department levels
• Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change
• Collaborative and adaptive approach

• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check.
• Applicants will be hired in any Shaw location and will not be required to relocate for this role.
