The role

Shaw Business has an exciting opportunity for a Major Accounts Development Representative in our Calgary location. Reporting to the Manager of Major Accounts, the successful candidate will be accountable for establishing and maintaining relations with our existing clientele as well as promoting and selling Shaw products and services to prospective Consumer and Business accounts.

A typical day

• Identify, maintain and grow current customer relationships through renewals with Major Accounts customers
• Identify and complete lead generation calling to prospective Major Accounts to raise awareness of Shaw’s Major Accounts and business solutions
• Ongoing training on Shaw Major Accounts & business portfolio and industry technology and standards
• Assist and support the Major Accounts team by auditing and contacting Major Accounts customers that have outdated or expired agreements etc.
• Focus on Salesforce maintenance, enhancements and reporting to support the growth of the business
• Strong focus on growing Business MRR within Major accounts and identifying new Major Accounts customers and opportunities
• Provide regular sales/renewal detail analysis and reporting within to leadership
• Supporting the Major Accounts team on strategic and national accounts
• Support customers with equipment management
• Conduct sales presentations to new and existing Major Accounts customers to drive sales volume and participation within program

Your skills/experience

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio)
• Experience with Sales Force considered a strong asset
• Experience with Video conferencing i.e. Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams
• Strong track record of success in B2B sales. Experience in telecommunications sales considered an asset.
• Post-secondary education and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Adaptive, quick learner, exceptional organization and reporting skills with the ability to have attention to detail while multi-tasking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
• Goal oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
• Flexibility to take on other duties or tasks as needed
• Must have a fully functional home office environment/setup
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
