The role

Shaw Direct's Digital Sales Consultant Team is currently seeking a driven, enthusiastic, career-minded professional to join our team. Our representatives are eager, goal-oriented, self-motivated and eloquent individuals who possess sound verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. The Sales Consultant thrives in a fast paced work environment, and is a passionate individual with the desire to reach performance goals.

A typical day

As our customers' first point of contact, you are the face of our company! When customers choose Shaw Direct, you are the person they count on to give them the best consultation. You are skilled to ask the right questions to effectively match Shaw's products and services with our customer's unique needs and to uncover other opportunities. You're energized to be a brand ambassador in a constantly evolving industry with leading edge technology. You will be our customer's connectivity expert on entertainment packages and services that add value by fitting their unique lifestyle and financial needs. You have excellent verbal communication that allows you to encourage an organic and engaging conversation. You love to learn, and you love the way it feels to help someone out. You believe in working in a company with strong family values. You are part of an amazing team.

Your skills/experience

• Strong communication skills (verbal & written) both in English and French, rapport building and solid sales skills
• We don't want our customers to miss a thing, so we require availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
• Available for 1-5 weeks of required full-time training on a fixed schedule that may include evenings and weekends
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Desire to be positive part of a fun, diverse, fast paced, team-oriented yet competitive and family like environment
• Must be able to take on multiple tasks while maintaining an organized work load schedule and pattern which may include data entry, chat conversations and processing accounts and taking on inbound or outbound chats and calls
• Proven ability to close sales through various sales channels
• Proven ability to deal with change with a positive can-do attitude
• Involvement and initiative to continuously look for different ways to close sales and increase the customer buying experience
• Previous call centre experience and knowledge of Cable Base System (CBS) is an asset

  • This position requires the successful completion of a criminal (and credit) background check
