The Shaw Business team in Calgary is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team. This position reports directly to the Supervisor, Service Delivery. This team is responsible for coordination of internal resources, direct customer support, and project reporting, throughout the delivery of data and voice services to some of Shaw’s largest customers. The successful candidate will be accountable for coordination and delivery of a high volume of projects while maintaining an excellent customer experience throughout the process.The project Manager role is a permanent, full-time hybrid role.
The role is both exciting and demanding. You will balance large project volumes while ensuring seamless delivery to our Enterprise customers. You will need to understand the business objective of your project, and get to know your internal and external customers, build relationships with downstream operational teams, and drive the project to the finish line.
• Liaise with Sales and Operational teams during initial phases of rollout projects, and tender submissions. Provide operations’ timelines and define implementation schedule and scope of work • Manage large scale professional service contracts. • Manage all phases of project development to ensure customer satisfaction, project continuity and internal consistency• Define Project tasks and resource requirements; develop full-scale project plans, and track project deliverable using Project Management tools • Manage the planning and implementation of a Private LTE system, including networks and support services• Define Project critical path and assist in the resolution of escalations• Manage any ‘revenue/cost impacting’ changes to in-progress orders in conjunction with Operations and Sales, and suggesting cost cutting initiatives. • Provide Departmental Performance Reports and Presentations• Conduct project review and status meetings, and communicate project status, review delivery, service performance, risks, opportunities, and change requests• Maintain integrity and consistency of duties. Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications: • Degree or Diploma from a recognized Post-Secondary institution. • Project Management Certification from the Project Management Institute. • 5-8 years’ experience in a Project leadership role with a demonstrated ability to manage both people and projects and deliver results. • Experience with release management in an Agile environment. • Experience with major network infrastructure builds and deployment activities • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to energize and motivate a dynamic team. • Preference for telecom experience• Fluent in both English and French. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills coupled with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization. • A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity. • Various other duties as required
