The role

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst/Developer to join our team. This position will be part of the Process and Technology team within Supply Chain. As a technical analyst, reporting to the Manager, Process and Technology, Supply Chain, you will be responsible for assisting Supply Chain with various requests involving data analytics, turning data into information, information into insights and insight into business decisions. You will also be an application administrator responsible for overseeing various activities including some light development work on but not limited to XLS-VBA, MS Access, and Sequel Server.

A typical day

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data systems
• Develop analysis, dashboards and reporting capabilities
• Interpret data and analyze results
• Liaise with Supply Chain Operations teams to gain comprehensive understanding of analytic support requirements and help ensure business needs are met
• Look for improvements in the data collection and aggregation, working closely with stakeholders to understand and implement changes that will drive business results
• Convey, document, prepare and present results to various audiences (both technical and non-technical)
• Work with business stakeholders to enhance user experience and the capabilities of the applications they need to do their jobs.
• Work with IT business partners to ensure the applications are running correctly and manage any changes/outages that might impact them.

Your skills/experience

• 2 to 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain an asset
• University/post-secondary degree or equivalent level of relevant work experience related to data analysis is required
• Experience with cloud technologies, and the associated data science, data management, and data visualization tools (Alteryx, SAS, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
• Experience and familiarity with data science competencies such as application of algorithms and modeling with tools (R, Python etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Continuous improvement mindset seeking opportunities for automation
• Critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills required
• Detail-oriented approach to issue identification and resolution
• Experience with Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Power Suite and Snowflake an asset
• Experience in managing and developing in XLS, Access and Sequel server
• Experience in managing application development lifecycle

• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check
