The role

We have an exciting opportunity of Marketing Automation Specialist (maternity leave replacement) on our Customer Marketing team. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Automation, the successful candidate will be accountable for automation of our communications to existing customers. In this role, the ideal candidate will:
• Develop email campaigns and landing pages with high degree of personalization and dynamic content
• Perform quality assurance testing of content across all email clients, tracking and list aspects prior to each deployment
• Develop strategies to improve the coding and rendering of emails
• Execute tests (subject headers, email copy and creative, offers and landing pages) to continually improve key metrics (open, clicks, leads, conversions) across campaigns
• Understand system functionalities of email mailing platform (like Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and provide insight on best practices in data structuring and integration to external sources to help ensure business needs are implemented
• Work with Marketing Managers in coordinating and communicating content change requests and production schedule

You will support our customers and employees through a hybrid modern support model. Leveraging your expert knowledge of our products, services and processes you are an essential part of the team. You will also be the go-to person for our Customer Advisors and Loyalty Care teams and thrive on solving problems and providing simple solutions for complex issues. Taking ownership, you’ll be empowered to make decisions that best support both our employees and customers. You persevere in a busy and energized atmosphere and can handle multiple priorities.

Your skills/experience

• 3+ years of email development experience in the telecommunications industry, combined with strong knowledge of web, mobile and email best practices.
• Solid understanding Salesforce Marketing Cloud – more specifically:
o Content Builder: The ability to manage dynamic templates
o Email Studio: The ability to manage Data Extensions and folder structures, creating email templates, triggered emails, A/B testing, and more.
o Automation Studio: Experience with SQL, Import, Export, and Filter activities as well as File Drop triggers and interaction with ET Enhanced SFTP
o Journey Builder: Experience with Entry/Exit criteria, Decision Splits and Wait Steps, random splits, API events, and custom activities.
o Contact Builder: Experience with Data Designer
• Orchestration through Tealium
• Strong technical skills including expertise in AMPScript and SQL is required
• Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS (media queries), and JavaScript are a bonus
• Coding experience, including JavaScript, JSSP, JSON, Webservices
• Experience with email testing software (render testing, like Litmus), working with email deployment platforms and troubleshooting creative and deployment issues
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast pace setting

Other details

• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check
• As a condition of employment, all new employees will be required to provide proof of full vaccination with a federally approved COVID-19 vaccine (or proof of a valid exemption)
• The successful candidate will be hired at our Toronto or Mississauga location.
• Please note this will be an 8-month temporary position
