The role

As a Business Analyst for Wireless Product Catalogue team, you will be working with Key Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, UAT & QA Teams, subject matter experts, Third-party vendors, and other Cross Functional Teams to understand their problems, needs and solutioning. Most of the times, you will be working in conjunction with multiple business units and functional departments to gather, document and analyze business needs, requirements and, as needed, design solutions.

• You will also be responsible for preparation of Requirements Matrix, Use Cases, User Stories, Test Cases when new project request comes in or when a business’s needs change, assessing the business impact of those changes, obtaining, examining and recording requirements, and maintaining the communication and delivery of the requirements to relevant stakeholders, Development & Testing Teams
• You are also responsible for managing a project and providing constant feedback to Managers and status update to the Business in a presentable manner. You also serve as a bridge between Business, Development, UAT & Training teams in solving their needs
• Your success will be measured on taking ownership, Accountability, On-time completion of assigned tasks and Ability to take Initiative
• You will be working with every major product owners / Business Stakeholders in the company, with commercial and IT teams

A typical day

• In a Typical Day, most of your time will be spent on Requirements gathering, through workshops, interviewing and other techniques and the Documentation of requirements, features, user stories
• Provides testing input across functions and develops and conducts small group training. Validate individual functions and the overall solution delivery and may be directly involved in the test process
• Depending on the project type, you will be working with the user experience team on information architecture, workflows, UI sketches and wireframes
• You will be Meeting Business Stakeholders, Cross Functional IT Teams, Testing Teams, and your Manager during all the stages of Software Requirement Life Cycle and you will be requested to provide Constant status update on the Testing Progress to the Manager
• You are responsible for Conducting project review sessions, obtain sign offs, and coordinate acceptance tests to ensure timely delivery of requirements. For successful delivery of project, you be required to Interact with Systems Analyst/Programmers to ensure that questions and discrepancies about specifications are resolved during the solution development process and Provide implementation support and assist with post implementation support
• You will be working with your manager and peers to complete your assigned task. Due to the nature of this work, you are expected to work independently, and You will receive continuous support from the team

Your skills/experience

• 5+ years of Business analyst experience preferably with hands-on knowledge in designing and providing solution to applications and documenting Business needs
• Experience in Canadian Telecom Industry with Good Domain Knowledge in Telecom Billing, CRM application is an asset
• Experience in Business Process Management, all the phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), using waterfall methodology or agile methodology
• Demonstrated success working with internal and external business teams to understand and gather requirements and working with project teams to meet expectations
• Technical knowledge and experience working with Singleview and any other CSG products is an asset
• Understanding of Freedom/Shaw marketing, sales, and the provisioning processes is an asset
• Ability to quickly grasp new ideas and solutions and communicate effectively with colleagues (business and technical teams)
• Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and resolve problems with people at all levels in the organization
• Ability to express ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner, tailoring communication to the intended audience
• Drive, passion, focused and initiative, with ability to adapt quickly to rapidly evolving products, technology, and situations are must
• Familiar with prototypes and mock-up tools and Goal oriented self-starter with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with an appetite for continuous learning
• Excellent communication (oral & written), Decision making, problem solving, work-flow analysis and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and work towards deadlines involving fast paced, aggressive project implementation schedules
• Ability to identify potential issues or risks and report to the Manager and should be able to prioritize their workload based on priority and project schedule with input from the Manager
• Working knowledge in Database like Oracle,SQL and query
• Working knowledge in some programming language Java, C++, Perl etc

• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check.
• The successful candidate will be hired in our Toronto location. Remote work is an option for now.
