The role

As our customers’ first point of contact, you are the face of our company. When customers choose Shaw, you are the person they talk to. You have the ability to ask the right questions to effectively match Shaw’s products and services with our customer’s unique needs and to uncover other opportunities.

As a Sales Consultant, you will be a part of Shaw’s Wireline Sales team to drive desired business results by delivering a best-in-class customer experience. This is a dynamic role which will require you to field inbound sales calls to promote and sell Shaw’s products & services, as well as activate new Shaw Mobile accounts and lines.

A typical day

Each day may look different; however, your core responsibilities entirely revolve around achieving individual sales targets and providing an exceptional customer experience to all our customers. The successful candidate in this role will do this by:

• Handling inbound calls which can include New Sales and Wireless Activations
• Providing an exceptional, best-in-class Customer Experience
• Driving incremental RGU’s and net new incremental revenue for the business
• Uncovering customer needs through discovery dialogue and recommending whole home winning solutions
• Identifying additional sales opportunities through a consultative sales approach
• Assisting customers in understanding the full value proposition of Shaw’s products & services

• A proven track record of sales success and the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets/KPI’s
• Ability to demonstrate sales behaviors that are aligned with best practices and business objectives
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Agile and able to adapt to a consistently changing environment
• Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Ability to handle challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
• Treat every new call as a new opportunity

Other details

• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and credit background check.
• This is a Sales role (which means we handle all new and existing customers).
• This is an Adaptive, fast-paced team that offers the opportunity to earn competitive commission!
• Vacation scheduling for agents uses a bidding model.
• Ability to work from any city within proximity of a Shaw Office, but will need to be prepared to work out of Vancouver, Winnipeg, or Nanaimo once normal office hours resume.
• Hours of Operations: 7:00AM PST – 9:30PM PST 7 days a week including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays (subject to change based on business needs).
