The News Department is seeking a full time News Anchor/Reporter (Group 14).
Accountabilities/Responsibilties
The following is a paraphrase of the primary functions and qualifications and does not outline all of the duties and responsibilities for this position:
• Anchor weekend Morning News
• Have a proven on-air presentation, including live remotes and unscripted material
• Write, gather, and assemble news and feature content
• Research and develop original and enterprising story ideas
• Possess strong writing and communication skills, including for online and social media
• Perform other duties as required
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience anchoring and reporting in a medium or large market. They will hold a degree/diploma in Journalism from a recognized post-secondary institution and possess a strong background in broadcast and online journalism.
