Career Opportunity: Sports Reporter/Anchor
This notification will serve to inform that a temporary career opportunity exists at Global Edmonton, a division of Shaw Media.
The News Department is seeking a Full Time Sports Reporter/Anchor (Group 13). This position is a six-month term position with a Wednesday through Sunday shift.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years experience reporting in a medium or large market. They will hold a degree/diploma in Journalism from a recognized post-secondary institution and possess a strong background in broadcast and online journalism.

• Possess a keen knowledge of the Alberta sports scene
• Identify, source, and create stories of key interest to news audiences province-wide
• Communicate effectively with other markets to facilitate requests and interviews
• Have a strong and proven on-air presentation, including live remotes, in-studio interviews and unscripted material
• Available to work a variety of shifts in writing, reporting and anchoring roles.
• Possess comprehensive social media and online skills
